Welcome to the Lewis and Clark County History Project! This online encyclopedia, created and maintained by the Montana Historical Society and the Lewis & Clark Library, is a gateway to people, buildings, neighborhoods, and organizations of historical significance to Helena and the surrounding area. The project, begun in May 2007, features more than 30 entries, complete with authoritative narratives, documents, photographs, bibliographies, and links to outside resources.
